Karen Rae (Bergman)'s Story
Mr. Mord was inducted into the Laker Hall of Fame for his outstanding service to ALL students, talented or just taking a course for a credit, from 1965 to 1999 and since for his continued in his art world by making lots nd lots of fish, like a 4 X 8 foot lutefisk in the front yard...lighted at night, yet!
Most importantly he has gone to Tanzania 3 times since 2007 to teach pottery making, jewery making, soler oven making etc. to ...Expand for more
people afflicted with leprosy and their families. There is such a terrible stigma for those who have the disease, which is treatable and curable, that if only one in a family becomes ill, all in the family are ostracized. Mr. Mord has been making tin can fish to help fund the trips and suppot paying for tutors to ducate teen agers so they can attend school formally.. Check out my Facebook page. Thanks so much!
